Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Staff Scheduling Services this position is responsible for the planning, development,
testing, communication and training components involved in the implementation and administration of the Staff
Scheduling System. The Staff Scheduling Analyst works in a complex multi-site environment providing expertise and
day to day support across Covenant Health sites; therefore travel between Covenant Health sites is required. The
Staff Scheduling Analyst must be able to review the scheduling functionality with an outlook to integrating existing
business processes seamlessly into this environment. Comprehensive knowledge of scheduling and payroll,
understanding of collective agreements, problem solving ability and technical expertise are required to support
systems that are critical for scheduling. Additionally, the ability to analyze and triage scheduling and software
problems is essential to this role.
Qualifications:
•
Grade 12 diploma and post secondary certificate in a related field (eg. Human Resources) is required, an
equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
•
Project Management or Business Analysis coursework an asset
•
5 years experience in staff scheduling, payroll and human resources, including interpreting collective
agreements and the use of HRIS required
•
Experience with scheduling software (Kronos ESP preferred)
•
Previous experience with software or process implementations required
•
Previous experience with testing software to support application upgrades and training users on
application usage preferred
•
Knowledge of Covenant Health environment and staffing practices preferred
•
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite, working knowledge of SharePoint, MS Project, Visio and/or
Microsoft Lync
•
Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and analytical and problem
solving abilities
•
Experience with training and/or facilitation would be an asset
