From the desk of Mrs. Klinker …
Last week I did something I never thought I could do or would ever
want to do …
I ran 13.1 miles in a mini marathon! For seven months I stuck to
the training schedule, planned my increasing distance runs, and
worked out to prevent injury. The training paid off and I completed
the race with a time better than 74% of the woman in my age bracket!
The key was building a strong foundation first and then challenging
myself with each distance run.
A Catholic education builds a strong foundation for life. Seeds

Just the FACTS …
May 12th is the field trip for the 3rd and 4th
graders as they travel to Indiana State House.
May 14th, the 7th and 8th graders will be going
to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum.
You can assist St. Louis Academy with one swipe of
your Kroger card! Register your Kroger card at
Kroger.com and chose St. Louis Academy (school code
50099). Every time you use your shopping card, Kroger
will make a Community Reward donation to St. Louis
Academy. Thank you for your help in sustaining
Catholic education at St. Louis Academy.
If you need to apply for the School Choice
Scholarship for the 1st time, please call the
school office to set up an appointment.
If this is not your first time applying you may
send in your tax information in a sealed
envelope to the attention of Mrs. Klinker.
Pertinent forms for you to sign will then be
sent home. You may also apply in the school
office. All applications need to be done before
the end of the school year. Other financial
assistance is provided through FACTS. Be
sure to apply through FACTS by May 15.
St. Louis Academy Home & School Association news
Mrs. Susan Rost will be retiring at the end of this school year.
We are preparing a celebration in her honor at the family
picnic on May 22nd,
Enclosed in your folder is a sheet of colored card stock. We are
asking family to make a scrapbook sheet for her memory book.
Please feel free to use photographs or your creative designs.
Sheets are due by May 18th. Cards will be appreciated also!
We are also looking for volunteers … helping, creative
hands that will make the day special of Mrs. Rost and the
students as they celebrate the end of a fantastic school year!
