ERIC LEBLANC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Eric was the founder of Shediac Bay Cruises Inc., a well known
boat tour operation and popular tourist attraction in Pointedu-Chene, New Brunswick. The company was created
through his hard work, dedication and love for the ocean.
Eric began the company in 1998 with a converted 40 ft.
fishing boat licensed to carry 14 passengers. In 2002, he had
a 53 ft custom-built boat, the "Ambassador", which is licensed
to carry 65 passengers and 3 crew members. The new
owners, Ron and Denise now continue the work started by
Eric.
In Eric's memory, the LeBlanc family created a scholarship
available to a Pointe-du-Chene resident who is a High School graduate student going on to post
secondary education. If the course lasts two or more years the student is also eligible to apply
for his or her second year.
Applications must be received by the LeBlanc family on or before June 30th, by mail, E-mail,
Fax or hand delivery. See following documents for application form and rules & regulations
which can be obtained online from address below.

RULES & REGULATIONS
1. The scholarship is available to a Pointe-du-Chene resident who is a High School graduate
student going on to post secondary education. If the course lasts two or more years, the
student is also eligible to apply during his or her second year.
2. The amount of the scholarship is $500.00 and will be awarded yearly until the funds are
depleted.
3. The LeBlanc family must receive the application on or before June 30th at one of the
following:

4. The winner of the scholarship will be selected by a draw amongst eligible applicants at the
Shediac Bay Cruises headquarters on an announced date.
A substitute name will also be drawn.
5. Prior to receiving the bursary, the winner must supply a signed letter from the institution he
or she is attending stating that he or she is enrolled and attending classes at that institution.
6. The scholarship will be paid in mid-November.
