Travel and Visa Supervisor

The following Church employment opportunity has become available, providing suitably qualified members the

is within the Materials Management Department, based at the Kenya, Nairobi Service Center.
Summary, Responsibilities & Description of Position:
The Travel and Visa Supervisor helps make gospel teachings, resources, or services accessible to all in a
simple and affordable way. The Travel and Visa Supervisor is the primary resource for training and
experience in booking tickets, tariffs, routings, visa, work & residence permits, passports, and other travelrelated items. The Travel and Visa Supervisor supervises, coordinates day-to-day visas and travel
functions. Ensures that all travel processes and policies are appropriately followed and that appropriate
work quality is accomplished, including receiving the lowest possible fares, compliance with negotiated
agreements and contracts, proper accounting and adherence to government regulatory regulations, etc.
Assist the travel manager in managing the ongoing agencies, service providers and service centres in the
ASEA.
Requirements










Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism, Business or related degree,
3 - 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CTC certification preferred, or country equivalent.
Experience should demonstrate broad understanding of global systems and airline reservation
systems, airline contracts, travel processes, etc.
Ability to communicate and negotiate with travel marketing, Visa agencies and executive personnel.
Extensive accounting, Controllership, and management experience preferable in the Church
environment.
Ability to make sound financial decisions.
Demonstrated knowledge of global visa requirement is preferred.
Must be willing and able to travel - as required.
Must hold/be worthy of a current/valid Temple Recommend
Salary and Benefits
Due to the fact that salaries and benefits are paid form sacred funds, these are conservative by
nature. The Church will provide and contribute towards applicable approved benefits.
