independent research agency Corso San Gottardo 3, 20136 Milan, Italy T 39 347 771 5577 M [email protected] W www.independentresearchagency.com what IS IT? what does it do? The Independent Research Agency is a research organisation specialising in social research and urban interventions. It was born to meet the need for public and private institutions to be able to know more about the social dynamics of the areas where they are working, with the overall objective of stimulating interventions and political strategies which can be adapted to the needs of a specific area and social group, and the making of the results of research available to a wider public beyond that of specialists in the field. The agency carries out investigations, projects and research into social groups, physical places, themes and contemporary social actors. It creates strategies for intervention for public administrators and bodies and private organisations and identifies activities which can be carried out in order to provide answers to specific problems. Its methodological approach is based on a preliminary and wide-ranging analysis of the context of the research and successive work in the field through observation and interviews. This type of analysis privileges the direct participation of actors in the different phases of all research projects. The agency can deal with al levels of research projects, from set-up to the collection of documents, interviews and analysis of data right up to the development of on-field work and the communication of results through reports, conferences, volumes and internet sites. This includes multi-media documentation (audio, photo, video) of research activities. 1 2 WHO DO WE WORK WITH? who are we?
