Laboratories and test facilities
We help the agricultural industry develop environmental technologies
for agriculture, test prototypes and prepare documentation so that the
technologies can be launched to the market. We also work with stable
technology, biogas technology, biomass and biomaterials. All to ensure
economically and environmentally sustainable farming and food production.
We work with technology suppliers, growers, food
companies, industrial kitchens, plant breeding
companies and public authorities. We also work closely
with universities to continually provide our customers
access to the latest knowledge.
We differentiate ourselves from other advisors by having the
choice of a range of facilities and test centers, where we can
test and document:
/ Plants
We develop new plants in our biotech service laboratory and we conduct
field experiments, where we test fertilizer, seed and pesticides. We
contribute to reduced energy consumption by intensive greenhouse
production, through the development and testing of greenhouse technology.
We consult on energy renovation and climate control.
/ Food
We offer consulting to the food industry to contribute to productivity
and growth. We work with the entire value chain and optimize raw material
contents, to the best possible use. We use plant technology to produce
new ingredients, such as natural color or high value ingredients for food.
We also work with product development and resource optimization with
particular focus on minimizing food waste.

Revenue and areas
We have an annual turnover of 12 million EURO. Commercial
turnover accounts for 50% of our revenue. The other half
is distributed as 30% research and development and 20%
as performance contracts, where we develop new knowledge
and services for the benefit of our customers.

Certified Technological Service Institute (GTS)
AgroTech is one of Denmark’s GTS institutes, ensuring
businesses access to new knowledge and test facilities.
We are the only GTS institute with full focus on the agriand food industry.
Locations
AgroTech’s head office is located in Agro Food Park in Skejby,
Aarhus - an international knowledge and competence
cluster in the agricultural and food sector. Additionally, we
have branches in Taastrup on the University of Copenhagen
Campus and in Holeby on Lolland, as well as the Trials
Department Koldkærgård in Skejby.
