TEAM & INDIVIDUAL GOLF QUALIFYING
TEAM
 The winning Team from each Section will qualify for the State Tournament

After each round is completed and closed, each team iWr is calculated by
summing the 4 lowest scores of the team and subtracting the nine hole
rating times 4 and then multiplying by 113 divided by the nine hole slope.
The team ranking system will automatically average the best 7 team iWr’s
to calculate the overall team iWr. The formula for calculating the team iWr
is as follows:
o Team iWr = (Team 9 score – (9 hole rating x 4)) x (113 / 9 hole slope)
 Each team’s best Seven (7) rounds will be used for team qualification
purposes
 Eight (8) at large teams will qualify - determined by their team iWr rankings.
A total of 15 teams will qualify for the State Tournament
INDIVIDUAL
 The top 10 individuals not on a qualifying team and based on their
individual iWr ranking at the conclusion of the regular season will qualify
for the State Tournament
 (Gross Score – Course Rating) x 113/Slope Rating = iWr
 Each players best Seven (7) rounds will be used for the individual
qualification purposes
TEAM & INDIVIDUAL GOLF QUALIFYING
PARAMETERS
 A minimum of seven (7) completed and closed rounds are needed to qualify
for both teams and individuals
 A maximum of four (4) rounds at one course can be counted toward a team
and individual iWr
 A maximum of 14 rounds are allowed per season - including no more than
five (5) invitational tournaments
 An 18 hole match can be played and counted as two qualifying rounds
 An invitational tournament can only count as one qualify match
 Tournament Director will pre-determine the qualifying nine holes that ALL
players use as qualifying round (front/back - first day/second day).
RANKINGS
 Rankings will be updated only when the home team completes and closes
their round!
 The first date for published rankings on the aia365 web site will be Tuesday
March 17th , 2015
