1. Create a Recipe

3. Enter Ingredients – By Product Number
Click Menu option on the main menu bar.
Select Recipes.
The Recipe List screen will appear.
Click on Add New Recipe link.

e. Enter information about the recipe. All fields
marked with an asterisk must be completed.
f. Weights or volumes will calculate automatically
g. Click Save. A recipe item ID will be assigned.
a. Key the product number into the Add to List box press

b. The product description will appear
c. Enter quantity and unit of measure
d. Click the ‘Add’ button
4. Change ingredient unit of measure
a. The system cannot yet automatically populate
volume measures or servings per case. You must
do this manually

b. Enter one volume measure and all the others will be
calculated along with the portion cost. IMPORTANT!
You are entering volumes for a FULL CASE of this
product, not the recipe!

2. Enter Ingredients – By Search
a. Enter product into the search box, select search
location, click search

b. Enter quantity
c. Select unit of measure (pounds,ounces,grams)
d. Click Add to Recipe
c. Once the volume measure is entered, you can
change the ingredient amount in the recipe by
selecting a new unit of measure. All of the volume
measures will now be available

Recipes are built using USF products, non-USF products and
other recipes.

Select Menu Items
The Menu Items screen will appear.
Click on Add New Menu Item link.
a. Enter the product description into the search box
b. Select ‘Recipe’ or ‘Non-USF Product ‘as search location
c. Click the green search icon

e. Enter information about the menu item. All fields
marked with an asterisk must be completed.
f. Click Save. A menu item ID will be assigned.
d. On the search result screen enter the qty and uom
e. Click ‘Add to Menu Item” to

f. The product appears in the menu item as Non-USF item
2. Enter Ingredients – By Search
a. Enter search criteria into the search box and click
search icon

5. Change ingredient unit of measure
a. The system cannot yet automatically populate volume
measures or portions per case. You must do this
manually
b. Enter the eaches or portions per case.
c. The system will then automatically show the portion
cost.
