Team Captain Checklist
Register: Notify AIDS Hike for Life Headquarters that you are forming a team.
Register online at AIDSwalkCNY.com and check the “I am a Team Captain” box,
call 800-475-2430 or email [email protected].
SET GOALS:
Everyone does better when they have their eyes firmly fixed on
a goal. Write your Team Fundraising goals on the sticker located on the pocket
of this folder - then go for it!
Recruit Members: Use the enclosed Team Signup Sheet to recruit your
team. Display the signup sheet in a convenient location to build your team.
Family and friends across the country can join your team as a virtual
walker/runner!
Distribute Tools:
Send each team member the link to register
and create a fundraising page. Supply team members with brochures and
other promotional materials so they can reach the $500 Club and beyond!
Collect Donations: Donations must be collected in advance. Encourage
sponsors to pay by check, made payable to:ACR Health or ACR.
Each team member needs to fundraise $25 minimum to participate, but can
raise thousands more!

Pre-Event REGISTRATION:
Set a date for all of your team
members' donations to be turned in to you so that you can bring them to preevent registration. At pre-event registration you can pick up each team
member’s earned incentives in advance and skip the registration line on walk/
run day!! Come to ACR at 401 Columbia Street on Thurs. April 23, from 4-6
pm OR you can go to Hamilton College Student Center on Thurs. April 23,
from 4-6 pm.

If your team raises $1,000 or more the team captain will be inducted
into the $500 Club!
$500 Club membership permits the team captain to be dubbed royalty
for the day, crowned King or Queen,
and invited to the $500 Club Celebration held in May/June.

A special club for Walkers, Runners and
Virtual Walkers/Runners who raise $500 or more,
and team captains whose teams raise $1,000 or more.
The $500 Club was created to acknowledge our top fundraisers. As a member, you will
receive special privileges not available to other participants.
These privileges include:
*Be crowned at the event and get treated like royalty:
You will receive a crown, while others are asked to bow in your presence.
*Recognition on website: www.AIDSwalkCNY.com
*A chance to win the $500 Club Grand Prize: One raffle ticket is entered in the drawing for every $500 raised. You also qualify for the usual incentives.
*An invitation to the $500 Club Party: which will be held in May and June with special gifts for members and the drawing for the $500 Club Grand Prize!
