June 27 in conjunction with Garden Fest The Heritage Garden celebrates the fortitude of early residents of Anchorage as well as the early Alaska Agricultural Experiment Station Agents. These hardy souls researched, tested, tasted, canned, and collected seed from the best of plants that withstood our northern climate. In the Heritage Garden, you will see many of these old varieties of plants – cutting flowers as well as vegetables and fruits. This garden features some plants donated from early family homes around the city. For a complete list of plants in this special garden, please visit our website. 907-770-3692
