Presents 2016 Application Information: Deadline for Submissions: July 15, 2015 Ballet Vero Beach is seeking applicants for the 2016 Riverside Dance Festival (RDF). The festival, co-‐
presented with Riverside Theatre, provides professional dance companies of all genres the opportunity to spend two weeks working, creating, and teaching in beautiful Vero Beach Florida. Invited companies work intensively with festival students, engage in community outreach workshops, and present public performances to culminate the festival. Ballet Vero Beach and Riverside Theatre provide housing, transportation, and up to a $10,000 stipend to the selected company. Past invitees include Prometheus Dance, Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company, and this season, Chicago Repertory Ballet. Interested companies are asked to submit a letter of inquiry to [email protected], no later than July 15, 2015. Each letter of inquiry should include company name, website, and biographies for key artistic staff members. Each letter should also include responses to the following prompts: ! Information on the Company’s Artistic Philosophy ! Information on the Company’s Educational Programs ! Information on the Company’s Outreach Initiatives Applicants must also provide a link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) to 5-‐10 minutes of recent performance footage. Successful applicants will demonstrate a willingness to work within RDF’s parameters requiring public performances by the selected company, the ability of the selected company to partner with Ballet Vero Beach and Riverside Theatre to execute an intensive two-‐week summer course for intermediate and advanced dance students aged 10+, and the ability to provide engaging community outreach programs (targeted at underserved populations) during the residency.
