Salem Ale Works Summer Homebrew Competition Presented by Sparky’s Brewing Company ENTRY WINDOW You will be able to register your entries beginning Monday, March 30th, 2015 at 4:00 PM, PST through Friday, May 29, 2015 at 5:00 PM, PDT. DEADLINE FOR ALL ENTRIES: Friday, May 29th, 2015 @ 5:00 PM ELIGIBILITY Must be over 21 to enter and/or judge beer. The entrant must personally make all entries. Judges will not be allowed to judge a category in which they have entered. ENTRY FEE $10.00 (USD) per entry. Payment accepted when dropping off entries. HOW TO ENTER Home brewers can enter as many beers as they want per category. No Limits. A complete entry form must accompany each entry. Three 12 to 16 oz bottles or two 22oz bottles will also be accepted. Each bottle must be free of all identifying marks and labels. Caps should be blackened out if not plain. Attach a bottle ID form (http://www.bjcp.org/docs/SCP_BottleID.pdf) to each bottle with rubber bands ONLY. Judging is per the Brewery Judge Certification Program categories and style guidelines. You DO NOT need to enter your recipe and brewing info to enter the competition. Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer (NO PUMPKIN; NO FALL/WINTER SPICE) JUDGING Every effort will be made to ensure at least one BJCP judge is present on each flight panel. Competition organizers will settle any conflicts. All decisions will be final. Best of Show Grand Prize Best of Show entrant will receive a commemorative 64oz engraved hydroflask growler. Winning entrant will have Best of Show recipe brewed by Salem Ale Works. Entrant will serve as Assistant Brewer for a day and see the beer through the entire production process. Winning entrant will also receive: One case (24 cans) of the Best of Show recipe (brewed by Salem Ale Works) canned by Crossroads Canning. Canning includes custom labels and 4-pack packaging. A corny keg (5gal) fill of Best of Show recipe. Best of Show beer will be featured on tap at both Sparky’s Brewing Company and Salem Ale Works. Best of Show Runners Up Best of Show Runner-up and Second Runner Up will receive commemorative 64oz engraved Hydroflask growlers. Category Winners Each category winner (7) will receive a commemorative 40oz engraved Hydroflask bottle. Category Runner Up Each category runner up (7) will receive a commemorative 18oz engraved Hydroflask bottle. Other Awards All Entrants will receive a commemorative 16oz pint glass.
