It will be necessary for the parent/guardian to give the student guidance in driving while in the program and after leaving the school. It is the responsibility of each student to know all the Motor Vehicle Laws of Maryland and the information contained in the Driver’s Handbook. The Handbook will only be used in class as a reference source. All MVA test questions will come from the Handbook. Instructors at Alfredo’s Driving School, Inc. will not be held liable for any acts of omission, not will the school be held liable for student performance while attending and after leaving the school. Disputes must be settled at the school with no court involvement. Although the ALFREDO’S DRIVING SCHOOL, Inc. Classroom and Behind-The-Wheel training will provide the student with the best quality education and training to meet all requirements as stated by the new MVA curriculum in order that the student become a considerate and conscientious driver, there is no guarantee that upon completion of the course the student will be a good driver. Producing good, capable drivers is a joint effort made by student, school, and parents/mentor. This is why the MVA requires 60 HOURS OF SUPPLEMENTAL DRIVING SKILL PRACTICE to be recorded by the student and the parent/mentor in the Skills Logbook “Rookie Driver”. Fees will be reimbursed based on the following schedule: Withdrawal prior to start: 100% of fees paid Withdrawal after start: 55% of fees paid divided by 30 hours for each hour of classroom not completed; 45% of fees paid divided by 6 hours for each hour of Behind-The-Wheel instruction not completed. Alfredo’s Driving School, Inc. will issue all refunds 15 business days from the receipt of the written notice. NOTE: All students who withdraw will receive documentation of training received. This documentation may be used to transfer to a new driving school. INITIAL ______ STUDENTS WITHOUTS LEARNER’S: Students who register without a Learner’s Permit can only take the Driver Education Program theory classes. They have 30 days after starting the 36Hrs Driver Education Program to regularize their situation. During those 30 days the student must bring their new Learner’s Permit to schedule their Behind-The-Wheel classes. Otherwise, they will have to pay additional charges to reprogram their Behind-The-Wheel classes.
