ARCADIA RODEO SEEKS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The Arcadia Rodeo Association is seeking an Executive Director to conduct the day-today administration of the association. This is a full-time, salaried position. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s degree with at least five (5) years of experience as an Executive Director or Manager in the not-for-profit arena, in business, administration or other similar leadership experience. This Executive Director will serve as the chief administrator of the Arcadia Rodeo Association and conduct all administrative, fundraising, and program tasks as per the directives set forth by the Board of Officers to achieve the mission of the organization. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Strategic Planning - Facilitate short and long range plans to (a) build a new arena, (b) increase marketing for the rodeo as well as new events to be added, (c) continue capital campaign and other fund raising, (d) recruit members and leadership and (e) develop sustainability plans. Fundraising Duties - Develop and implement fundraising events. Cultivate and secure major gifts. Maintain existing donor relationships and form new strategic partnerships including cultivating and securing donations from various sources including individuals, corporations and foundations. Pursue grants and manage them. Pledge redemptions. Conduct all current and future fundraising efforts for the construction of a new rodeo arena. Administrative Duties - Facilitate board meetings including preparation of agendas, meeting minutes and plans of action. Carry out the same. Financial Duties - Oversee fiscal responsibility and reporting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, banking, account management, annual audit and preparing financial statements. PR/Marketing Duties – Actively market and promote the Arcadia Rodeo and other events to be added on a full-time basis. Become the “face” of the rodeo. Attend networking functions as the rodeo representative. Maintain and strengthen relationships with Rodeo Association customers, vendors, members, directors, officers and staff Gov’t Relations – Create relationships with local, state and federal governmental agencies to assist lobbying efforts for the benefit of the rodeo. Communication Duties - Serve as official spokesperson. Produce and distribute reports, emails and marketing materials. Update website regularly and create social media campaign. Host VIP’s. Host major donors and high-profile guests at the March Rodeo. Plan and execute the entire process from invitations to transportation to refreshments. Misc.
