The Guam Power Authority says there are two ways to read your electric meter, depending on the kind of meter you have: STANDARD POWER METER DIGITAL POWER METER Write down the last number the dial has passed. Note that every other hand rotates the opposite direction. 4 6 3 7 2 If you have a digital meter, just write down the numbers as they appear on the viewer. Unsure of hand placement?: Knowing your power usage If a hand is right on a number, and you’re not sure if it has passed the number or not, look at the dial to the right. Has the hand passed 0? Take the new reading based on what you see on the meter: 46,372 (new reading) - 45,109 (your last reading) of kilowatt = 1,263 (amount hours you used) Question: Should you read 6 or 7?
