SCOPE
The objective of this project is to process, describe, digitize and disseminate the Henry F. Hall Fonds in
order to increase and facilitate its access.

Description
Determine the values of documents based on archival
standards;
Sort the documents and files and eliminate non-value
documents
Determine series
Regroup documents and files by the series, proceed to filing,
place documents in proper archival quality supplies, and rename
files when required.
List content of boxes
Complete the current fonds description by adding series title
Make description available on our website using AtoM
Unfold documents
Use protective sleeves for photographs and fragile documents
Create special enclosure for objects
Digitize all documents
Public content will be available on our web site and/or on
AtoM.
Use website and various social media platform to promote the
fonds
REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate currently studies or has recently graduated from a recognized Archives and
Records Management program

Good spoken and written English and basic French

Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) in a Window
environment.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in a team
environment.

Physical ability to lift and carry several times a week a wide range of documents weighing at
times up to 25-40 pounds
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR YOUNG CANADA AT WORK

Will be between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;

Are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada and are legally
entitled to work in Canada;

Are willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment;

Will not have another full-time job (over 30 hours a week) while employed with YCW;

Have been a full-time student (as defined by your educational institution) in the semester
preceding the YCW job;

Intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following the YCW job.
