ARIZONA ROADMAP TO VETERAN EMPLOYMENT TRAINING & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE MENU There are many options available for training, technical assistance and support. Below are some starting points. Options for Job Seekers: Job search workshops and services JOB SEEKERS Services and support are available in every county statewide through the workforce system and the Arizona Department of Economic Security. Support is also available through the military, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs and private sector organizations. Civilian Reintegration Training - 2 hours This training complements the military Transition Assistance Program and is available to transitioning service members before, during and after separation. Currently being piloted at Luke Air Force Base with the potential for expansion to other locations. Options for Employment Service Providers: Military/Veteran Employment Service Provider Training - 2 hours Designed for both direct service and admin staff, this training focuses on the unique aspects of military/veteran culture and how to most effectively serve military-affiliated job seekers. EMPLOYMENT SERVICE PROVIDERS Military/Veteran Resource Navigator Training - half day Employment Service Providers are in a prime position to connect service members, veterans and their families to resources, not only for employment but also for a range of issues and needs that may affect a person’s ability to gain or maintain a job. Options for Employers: Arizona Veteran Supportive Employer Training - 2 hours EMPLOYERS This training is designed for managers, supervisors, human resource personnel, leadership and recruiters with a focus on fulfilling the requirements to become an Arizona Veteran Supportive Employer. Military/Veteran Resource Navigator Training - half day By strategically embedding Resource Navigators within their organization, employers can create an internal resource for extending support to connect service members, veterans and their families to resources to address a range of needs. Options for Community Members: Military/Veteran Resource Navigator Training - half day COMMUNITY MEMBERS Learn the basic steps to be the right door and the right person for a service member, veteran or family member and to connect them to the right resource at the right time, including the array of resources available to find employment and training opportunities. Mental Health First Aid - full day A one-day course that equips community members with the knowledge and skills to assist a person experiencing a mental health crisis.
