Date: Saturday, 21 March 2015 The 2015 Travelling Workshop series promotes best practice in sonography by providing continuing education and a forum for communicationfor members in small cities, regional and rural locations across Australia and New Zealand. Designed and presented by experienced sonographers, these interactive workshops include hands-on presentations and live scanning demonstrations. Included will be how to assess situs, the 4chamber and outflow tracts in the six transverse views as outlined in the ASA Fetal Heart poster. 10.30am Morning tea 11.00am Abnormalities detected by the 4-chamber and abdominal circumference(AC) views Abnormalities that can be detected by the 4-chamber view and AC will be explained by ultrasound video clips and still images along with embryology and explanatory drawings. 12.30pm Lunch 1.00pm Abnormalities detected by the outflow tract views * Imaging the ovaries and adnexae and identifying pathology including ovarian cysts and deep infiltrating endometriosis 2.30pm Workshop concludes About the presenter Ann Quinton is a Senior Sonographer and Research Fellow at the Nepean Centre for Perinatal Care, Nepean Clinical School, University of Sydney. Ann has worked in fetal medicine units for many years and has lectured widely on the fetal heart. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes through research and the education of sonographers and medical practitioners. Ann has a Masters Degree in Applied Science (Ultrasound) and a PhD (Medicine).
