RAID-TV (Raising Awareness in Darlington & Tees Valley) is a small UK based charity committed to raising awareness about the

lead charity providing international health exchanges as we believe that by working together young people can change attitudes
in their communities and contribute to the decisions which affect them. Our website address is www.raid-tv.org.
We are hosting this course to assist youth workers to better face the challenges of working in intercultural communities and
help young people to value diversity and respect difference.
The Course: European Identity – The art of weaving cultures
We passionatly believe that real change should happen for young people as a result of this course & therefore participants will
be involved in creating strategies to impliment within their own work with young people.
The course tutor, Tsitsi Chinyandura, is qualified and experienced in delivering training on intercultural youth issues,
internationally & in Europe.
The training will aim to develop new competencies in youth workers and youth leaders for working with young people on
intercultural issues. Through this training participants will have an opportunity to improve their competency skills in dealing
with intercultural society and intercultural conflicts. The sessions throughout the week will be extremely interactive, thought
provoking, challenging and rewarding.
The training will aim to bring people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds together in order to develop a
collaborative and shared approach in supporting young people from a range of cultural backgrounds in a diverse society.
By the end of training, participants will be able to:
• Explore new strategies and methods to work with young people on intercultural learning and cultural identify
awareness projects
• Discover different youth practices by sharing experiences regarding intercultural diversity in their communities and
countries

belong to, and how that affects their cultural identify
