Three hundred million people worldwide live in forests and 1.6 billion depend on them for their livelihoods. However, WWF Living Forests Report: Saving Forests at Risk says more than 80 per cent of natural forests will be disappeared between 2010 and 2030. The report identifies 11 deforestation fronts where forests lost or severe degradation are projected in that period, including 3 places in Indonesia, the main causes and solutions for reversing the projected trends.
