Choose a bulky, heavy weight yarn, with a 9mm hook. Approximately 5 skeins of yarn {120 yards each} are needed for a pouf of this size with 32 oz of poly fill {stuffing}. Poly fill will only work if your stitches are small and tight. If you have larger stitches, with bigger holes I would recommend sewing a cotton bag to place the stuffing in before placing it into the pouf.
