Stephen West Mystery Knit-a-Long 2013 COLOR CRAVING at Knit’n from the Heart! Join us in knitting up what is sure to become a gorgeous colorinspired shawl. Pam will be knitting along with Stephen West this fall to make his newest surprise shawl called Color Craving. Purchase the pattern on Ravelry and select your yarns from the variety of fingering weight yarn available at Knit’n from the Heart. Stephen has done a number of these in the past. First, you commit to the knit-a-long and purchase the pattern on Ravelry ($6). You will get information with the yarn, needle, and gauge requirements so you can pick out your yarn and make sure you can get gauge. Now you are ready for the mystery to begin! Then, each week, for four weeks, he releases a part of the shawl pattern that can be completed in a week of knitting. By the end of the fourth week, you will have created a beautiful three color shawl! The first “clue” is released on Friday, September 13. The pattern will be sent to your Ravelry account (once you have purchased the pattern on Ravelry). Print the first clue of the pattern and join us that evening for the kick-off of our knit-a-long and begin work on your mystery shawl. Pam will be available to help everyone get started on this great adventure. Work on the first clue during the coming week so you are ready to move on to the second part of the shawl when the second “clue” is released on Friday, September 20. We will meet Saturday mornings from 9-10:30 for the last three clues. Feel free to start the forthcoming clues before coming Saturday mornings or bring your printout of the next clue and your shawl and be ready to keep knitting!
