Blocks of News, Scraps, and Threads of Information - Spring/Summer...

Blocks of News, Scraps, and Threads of Information - Spring/Summer 2014
Dear Quilters,
I am hoping Spring is right around the corner...it can happen any minute! I have “Stitching Fever” as I seem to just want
to stitch all the time! You will probably be reading this newsletter while we are vending in Paducah...I will be stitching
away on my wool SBOW blocks. I have them all designed and I am almost ready to let you know ALL the details...This is
the farthest I have ever been with my summer project...What I can tell you now is that it is very colorful and it will be
an applique block, along with alternating pieced block for all of the weeks -except the first...for a total of 25 blocks. I
also am working on the pieced SBOW so that is also going to be fun...fun...fun...
We are patiently waiting for Homestead Gatherings to arrive in our store so look for that soon! I am very excited to
display the new quilts in the store made from my designs as well as other designers! I currently am working on my next
line which will be called Lakeside Gatherings, the colors will be navies, greys, creams and butter yellow...and we will have
24 wovens! The grey is awesome and is my favorite. I can see many MAN quilts made with this line.
Nick and I, Luke and Jess and Jake and Amy will be out in the next couple of months traveling to the various shows
shown in our schedule...we would love to see you if you live close to any of them...and you know our booths will be stocked
with all kinds of NEW designs to inspire you.

Stitcher’s Gathering: We are inviting all our Block of the Month participants to join us on the third
Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. Sit with Joanne and stitch on a current BOM or catch up on your
previous BOM's. We do a lot of demonstrations and we try to answer any quilting questions you may
have. This is a great way to make new friends and there is no charge for joining this group. A new
project will be starting in the new year for anyone who would like to participate, but you don't have to do
this project to be a part of the group. We will be using Lisa's first book, "Garden of Stitches". Blocks in
this quilt can be done in cotton or wool. We love show and tell, so bring your special projects, so we can
enjoy them with you. Please join us and be a part of this fun group.
