recovery after my surgery. May God bless you richly.

Condolences
We express our sympathies to John Wittenberg in the recent
death of his wife Helen. Helen passed peacefully April 11.
A memorial service will be held this Wednesday, April 22 at
1:30 pm.
Condolences also go to the family of Anna Wall, who died
Easter Monday at the age of 104. A graveside service was
held this past Wednesday, April 15 at McLure Road cemetery.
Fellowship Choir Spring Concerts
“Prayer of Thankful Praise” Sunday, April 19th,
6:30 pm and Tuesday, April 21st, 10:30 am.
An offering will be taken for the Abbotsford Food Bank.
Membership Class
A new member class will be held Tuesday, April 21st at
7:00 pm for individuals who are transferring from a Mennonite
Brethren Church or have been baptized as adults on the
confession of their faith. If you would like to participate please
register with the church office and obtain a membership
packet.

Student Summer Ministry Burseries
They are available for students who will be volunteering at any
summer camp or Bakerview’s day camp. Application forms are
available in the Youth Centre, the literature stand by the
mailboxes in the foyer, or at the church office. Please submit
applications to the church office by June 30th.
Sunday Morning Parking Lot Security
More volunteers are urgently needed to fill vacant spots to
keep our vehicles on the church parking lot secure on
Sundays. Brandon Collison is the supervisor. Please contact

Engaging the Bible, 2015
Are you reading? Are you reflecting on
scripture daily? Are we all living it out? It’s
our ongoing challenge. As well as reading,
studying, memorizing and hearing it
preached … now you can watch it! Tune in
to watch the Bible as portrayed in A.D. The Bible
continues, Sundays at 9:00 pm on NBC. Also you can

ETEM Dessert Evening
Thursday, May 7th, 7:00 pm. Hear Kristen Corrigan, President
of ETEM give an update of the college’s ministry. Please
confirm your attendance with the church office.
Music on a Wednesday
Our next concert is May 20th featuring Paul
Williamson, piano. Light refreshments are served at
11:30 am ($3.00) and the concert begins at 12:15 pm.

volunteers who made the 50th Anniversary
weekend a success.
For our 50th Anniversary Celebration service
April 12th, we commissioned a piece of music for
our Jubilee Choir and Orchestra. Roy Tan a
composer/arranger did a wonderful job.

Bakerview Church Family Camp
Canadian Mennonite Brethren have embarked as a
denominational community on a conversation about what their
Christian commitments entail in terms of the expression of
their human sexuality.
June 5-7 at Stillwood Camp and Conference
Centre. Register today. Early bird registration
deadline is May 3 - Sign Up Sunday.
To prepare for October’s study conference in Winnipeg the
Canadian Board of Faith and Life (BFL) has prepared a study
guide for use by all Canadian Mennonite Brethren churches
and leaders. This study guide, based on Scripture and the
Mennonite Brethren Confession of Faith, provides direction,
guidance, and excellent discussion questions and is available
at http://studyconference.mennonitebrethren.ca. The BFL
wants as many Mennonite Brethren as possible to have the
opportunity to pray and think well about human sexuality.

The Canadian MK Network is an organization designed to
help missionary kids integrate back into the Canadian culture.
A benefit concert/silent auction is April 24 at Immanuel

will perform. A one day conference will be held on Saturday,

Prison Fellowship Canada is having volunteer training and
orientation sessions Saturday, April 25 from 9:00 am to 1:00
