Harry & Irma Froese I would like to thank the church family for praying for me during my recovery from a hip fracture and knee replacement. Her memorial reception was held at Bakerview this past Friday. Harry and Irma Froese whose son Randall, passed away April 12. His memorial reception was held at Bakerview April 25th. Randall was a nephew to David and Hilda Froese. The family of Virginia Neish who passed away April 16. Her memorial reception was held at Bakerview April 26. Sue Froese whose husband George passed away April 24. A graveside service was held for George this past Thursday. His memorial service will be held May 30th. George was a brother -in-law to Les Schmidt and Anne Schmidt. Lenora Kroeker whose husband Dietrich passed away April 27. The memorial service for Dietrich will be held on June 1st. God, Sex & Church Canadian Mennonite Brethren have embarked as a denominational community on a conversation about what their Christian commitments entail in terms of the expression of their human sexuality. To prepare for October’s study conference in Winnipeg the Canadian Board of Faith and Life (BFL) has prepared a study guide for use by all Canadian Mennonite Brethren churches and leaders. This study guide, based on Scripture and the Mennonite Brethren Confession of Faith, provides direction, guidance, and excellent discussion questions and is available at http://studyconference.mennonitebrethren.ca.
