1. CHECK-IN, continued
o
Secure Check-In: Monterey High School is a publicly accessible venue. We must be especially
cautious and vigilant about the security of our students. Therefore, a parent must accompany
students in Levels Pre-Ballet through Level 7 to check-in at their designated dressing room (see
page 2 chart).
o
Parents will receive a numbered security card upon check-in that must be returned when
picking up students. Do not leave without a security card.
o
If a different adult will be picking up, please complete the necessary form upon arrival. The
adult picking up will be required to show a photo I.D. to secure the student.
o
Once your student has been checked-in at their designated room, volunteers will supervise
them at all times during rehearsal and performance. If your student is participating in more
than one piece such as ballet and modern or character, volunteers will oversee costume
changes and movement to and from the backstage area. Only approved and scheduled
volunteers are allowed in the backstage and dressing room areas. (See Volunteer Needs).
o
If you are not volunteering in the dressing room, you may observe the rehearsal from a
designated area in the theater. Following your student’s rehearsal (Levels 1 through 5), you are
asked to check them out. Levels Pre-Ballet 4/5, Pre-Ballet 5/6, Boy’s Class and Levels 6 and 7
will remain at Monterey High School following their rehearsal until their performance time.
