Children’s Mental Health Week
Children’s Mental Health Week is May 4 to 8. One in

signs related to children and youth struggling with
mental health problems, decreasing stigma and
understanding how to access community supports
that are available to improve well-being. For more
information, visit http://www.kidsmentalhealth.ca/.

Safe Schools Reporting Tool
New Path offers a full range of community-based programs for clients aged 7 to 18 and their
families. These programs include office-based counselling and long term youth and family
counselling. They also have school-based mental health workers in elementary schools in
Innisfil, Alliston, Bradford, Collingwood and Orillia. More information about the above
mentioned programs can be found by contacting New Path’s central intake department at
705-725-7656.
The SCDSB has developed a new online Safe Schools Reporting Tool and we’re excited to be
one of four pilot schools! This tool is available on our website homepage. Students and
parents can use this tool to submit a report online if they witness a student engaged in
inappropriate behavior such as bullying, drug use or vandalism. Students are still encouraged
to speak to a trusted adult at school or home if they have any concerns. This form isn’t a
substitute for having a discussion with your teacher or principal, but provides another avenue
to start that conversation. Student safety and well-being is always our top priority. For more
information please contact the school or visit http://scdsb.on.ca/ReportAnIncident.
All-Gender Washroom:
Bradford District High School is committed to the well-being of all students, staff, and
community members. In that respect we are reminding students that an all-gender
washroom is located in the main office. Any student, staff or visitor to the building is
welcome to use the washroom if they wish. If students are unaware of the location of the
washroom please ask anyone in the office.
