Boike Family Benefit Fri, April 24 6-10 pm Cultural Center 6445 W 27th Place Berwyn IL 60402 "Coach Chris" Boike lost his short battle with cancer on Friday, January 23, leaving behind a loving wife and three beautiful daughters. Everyone he encountered – including his church and softball families – will hold his memory dear to their hearts. Chris leaves behind a legacy in Berwyn through his dedication and love for the game of softball. He was a source of admiration and inspiration – to players, parents and members of his coaching fraternity. He was a hero to many of the young girls he coached, and was respected for the grace, humor, energy and commitment he bestowed upon the softball community. He volunteered hours to the sport he loved, but more importantly, to the girls to which he sparked that same love and dedication. His legacy will live in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known him. A benefit is being planned to honor Chris and support his family on Friday, April 24 from 6-10pm. The event will be held at the Liberty Cultural Center 6445 W 27th Place, Berwyn, IL 60402. The cost of the event is $20/adult and $10/children, which will include baseball themed foods, beer and soda. The Stone Daddies Bank will playing music from the 60s through the 90s, and there will be raffles throughout the evening.
