Recital- Important dates:
 Recital ticket sales begin Saturday, May 9th 8:30am-12pm. Order forms and more details
are on the next page.
 Picture Day- Saturday, June 6th 9am-4pm. Photos will be taken here at BHSOD. Signup
sheet for appointments will be available at the front desk beginning in April.
 Rehearsals- Monday, June 8th 4:30-8:30pm & Tuesday, June 9th 4:30-8:30pm
 Recitals- Thursday, June 11th 7pm & Friday, June 12th 7pm.
All rehearsals & recitals will take place at West Bloomfield High School. Please check
both the rehearsal & recital schedules to confirm which date your daughter’s class will
rehearse and which recital show she will perform in.
Reminder – All year end balances must be paid in full by May 20th. May and June tuition
are due together, and calculated as 1.5 of your regular monthly tuition. Student accounts must
be paid in full to receive your recital tickets. Please pick up your pre-ordered recital tickets by
Friday, June 5th, our last day of classes.
Parade – Our studio participates in the Farmington Founder’s Parade each summer. This
year’s parade will take place Saturday, July 18th. All BHSOD dancers are welcome to dance with
us in the parade! Our youngest dancers (ages 4-5) may ride on our float. Parents are welcome
to walk along with us as well. Dancers are required to wear the 2015 commemorative
parade/recital t-shirt & a pair of black shorts. Parade t-shirts have all of our dancers’ names
printed on the back and are priced at $20. Please note: T-shirt orders are due by May 9th. Only
one order will be placed for shirts.
There will be two mandatory parade practices - Thursday, July 16th, and Friday, July 17th
from 6:30-8:00 PM each day. At the 1st practice, dancers will be assigned a spot and learn the
routine. At the 2nd practice we will perfect the routine & go outside to practice. On parade day,
we will meet in the Uptown Center parking lot (corner of Grand River & Mooney St.) no later
than 8:30am. At 8:30, police will start blocking off streets and you will not be able to travel
down Grand River. The parade is scheduled to begin at 9:40am. The parade route finishes at
Grand River & Farmington Rd. Please see Miss Kim to sign up to participate in the parade, or fill
out the parade registration located on the bottom of your spiritwear order form.
Competition Team Auditions – Auditions will take place Friday, May 29th at the
following times: Ages 6-8 -4:30-5:15, Ages 9-11- 5:15-6:15, Ages 12 & Up 6:15-7:30pm.
All students are invited to audition! Dancers should wear a leotard & tights, hair in a bun, and
bring all dance shoes.
Summer Program – Sign up now for dance camp and classes. Summer is the time to
work on technique and improve your skills. Students who dance in the summer always
continue to improve at a much faster pace than those who do not.
Over
Recital Crew- The show cannot go on without volunteers! Every family is responsible for signing up
to help in some way. We need Moms & Dads to usher, sell flowers & concessions, Moms to help in the
dressing rooms & backstage, and Moms or Dads to bake treats for our concession tables.
Please note: your recital ticket order form must indicate which area you have signed up to help with.

Ticket Sales - Your ticket order form is below. All Seats Are Reserved. We will begin accepting
orders for the recitals on Saturday, May 9th 8:30 AM-12:00, here at the studio, and during regular studio
hours after that date. Ticket orders are filled in the order in which they are received. Tickets are $15.00
each. You will receive your tickets around Memorial Day. Please place your order, along with cash or
check, in an envelope with your student’s name on it. Please do not seal the envelope. The tickets will
be given to you in this envelope.
Lost & Found- Please check our lost & found basket for any items you may have left behind. Please
be sure to mark your dancer’s name on everything- clothing, dance shoes, etc. to expedite their return.
Also, please check dance bags before you leave the studio to be sure all of your shoes are inside-we
have had quite a few lost shoes recently and unfortunately cannot search out each one.
Cipriano Classic 5K-Last year many of our dancers, parents & teachers participated in the Cipriano
Classic 5K Fun Run & Walk. We had a GREAT time and it was absolutely wonderful to see so many
members of our BHSOD family out in the community supporting this amazing charity! This year’s event
takes place on Friday, June 5th at the Farmington Family YMCA. The registration fee is $25 through June
3rd, or $35 June 4-5th. Registration forms are available at BHSOD or at the YMCA, or you can register
online at ciprianoclassic.com. The event starts at 6:30pm with a welcome & stretches, and the race
starts at 7pm. Please join us! Family & friends are welcome too. Run, walk, stroll…any pace is fine, and
strollers are welcome if you have little ones.
Jamberry Fundraiser- Our Jamberry (nail wrap) fundraiser is still going on! The deadline for
orders is April 30th. Orders can be placed online at http://amyrobinson2014.jamberrynails.net/
