Shabri Enterprises (Bhilai Test)
Bhilai Test is a complete industrial test house based
at BHILAI (C.G.).We has complete well equipped
facility for local stress relieving (PWHT) and non
destructive testing (NDT). It includes Dye penetrant
test (DPT), Magnetic particle test (MPT), Ultrasonic
Flaw Detection test (UT), Radiography testing (RT),
Positive Material Identification (PMI). We have
license from ATOMIC ENERGY REGULATORY BOARD
(AERB), for handling and operation of Industrial
Radiography Exposure Devices (IGRED).
The lab is monitored and maintained under the
guidance of Mr. V. Neelmanikandan AI, N, ASNT
Level III (MPT, PT, RT, UT & VT).We have a team of
qualified, trained and experienced personnel
working under his guidance who have undergone
training conducted by BARC/ASNT.

laboratories, field locations and/or customer premises
Equipments for Radiography testing:
Dye penetrant inspection (DPI), also called
liquid penetrant inspection (LPI) or
penetrant testing (PT), is a widely applied
and low-cost inspection method used to
locate surface defects in all non-porous
materials (metals, plastics, or ceramics). DPI
is based upon capillary action, where low
surface tension fluid penetrates into clean
and dry surface discontinuities. Penetrant
may be applied to the test component by
dipping, spraying, or brushing. After
adequate penetration time has been
allowed, the excess penetrant is removed
and a developer is applied. The developer
helps to draw penetrant out of the flaw so
that an invisible indication becomes visible
to the inspector .
Bhilai Test is capable of detecting common
and uncommon discontinuities open to the
materials surface. LPI is used to detect
casting, forging and welding surface defects
such as hairline cracks, surface porosity, and
fatigue cracks on in-service components.

Training is in fact integration of human resources and technology. The technology transfer must consider how information,
directions and instructions shall be translated in the minds of trainees. This will involve presenting basic principles, theory and
contents of the training program in such a way that these may not only be easily understandable but trainees shall be able to adopt
them. One of the fundamentals of training is that people learn better when they can connect what is taught to their own
