We are truly proud of all our students and their achievements! Our school choir hosted a fabulous concert recently celebrating music through 50 years. It was truly electrifying! We are now very excited about sharing the achievements of our Middle School students with you and invite you to the Middle School musical on Tuesday June 16th. The students have been involved in all aspects of the production from stage, light and sound, costumes and props to directing, acting and singing. I know we will all be amazed at their talents. I am very proud of all the different experiences that we are able to offer our students like taking part in music and drama production every year to first hand experiences through visits and hands on learning. We are happy to share the learning with you; so if you are interested in learning about tadpoles, please pay a visit to Y 6 to see how they are studying the growth of their live tadpoles. All children have enjoyed a variety of interesting and rewarding learning opportunities during the last part of the school year. They have taken part in many activities both in and out of school and also had the opportunity to work with students from other classes during beach and sports’ day. www.birralee.no Birralee International School Trondheim Newsletter nr. 8 End of year thank you I would like to say a very big “thank you” to all our staff who have been so dedicated in providing the best education for your children this year. We are lucky to have so many talented teachers and assistants in our school. We are also grateful for all the help and support that we enjoy from you as parents. Your contribution is very valuable and your involvement in your children’s school work is instrumental in their success in school. We thank the Parents’ Committee for supporting the school and for bringing parents and children together through a variety of activities. Most of all, a big thank you to our wonderful students, for all the joy they bring into our lives. It is a privilege to be part of their education. We send best wishes for the future to those of our families and friends who are returning to their home countries and big congratulations to our graduating students moving on to a new phase of their lives. Birralee Summer Club We will be offering a summer club for the last week of June for our ASP children. The children will be enjoying a variety of activities form outdoor arts and crafts to trips to the neighboring parks and a visit to the beach. Our end of term Primary Assembly will take place on Friday June 19th at 10.45 in the gym. We will be celebrating our students, our achievements and our friendships through a programme of music, songs and poems presented by the children. Parents are welcome to our last assembly this year. We thank all the Birralee students for their wonderful contributions to the school this year! Our Middle School Graduation will take place on Thursday June 18th at 12.00 following a Middle School brunch for graduating students. Parents are welcome at 12.00 for the graduation ceremony. Change Over Day and new students visiting Birralee All Birralee students have visited their new class rooms and also had a chance to get to know any new students joining their class in August. New parents had a meeting with Mrs Farstad to get more information about the school and the programme we offer. It was such a pleasure to meet both the parents and the children. We will not issue any new bus cards in August as the children will use the same bus card as they have used this school year.
