UCM
The national Council & AGM of the UCM will be help at Swanwick the 11th
- 13th May. Since Lancaster Diocesan Committee members will be attending the
Conference there will be NO MONTHLY MEETING as scheduled for Monday
the 11th May 2015.
SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
The Bishop will celebrate this at the Cathedral for our deanery on Pentecost
Sunday, 24th May. Preparation began last Tuesday in St Mary’s hall, 7.00pm
until 8.00pm and continues on 12th and 19th May with a rehearsal on the 22nd.
Attendance at all these sessions is essential.
Preparation for 1st Holy Communion continues today (Sunday)
BAPTISMS
Parents wishing to have their child or children baptised please contact Canon
Cooper. It is a requirement that parents attend a Baptismal Course to prepare
themselves for this very special Sacrament for their child. The next meeting will
take place at 7.30 pm in St Mary’s Hall on the 28th of May 2015.

St Mary’s on Saturday at 3pm.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Ladyewell
Bishop Michael Campbell OSA will be leading this on the 20th of June 2015
starting from St Mary’s Church at 2pm with a Eucharistic procession (weather
permitting) followed by a Homily and Benediction at 3pm. Confessions will be

DAY FOR ALTAR SERVERS
The Office for the New Evangelisation will be running a series of Ongoing
Formation Days this year, beginning with those for Altar
Servers. Paul Briers and Daniel Etienne will be leading these
Workshops, entitled, "Practical Stewardship: Serving at the
Altar of God," on the following Saturdays in June and July
(10am- 4pm) at the following venues:
