Directions to Burlington Emergency Veterinary Services: US Route 2 west to Interstate
I-89; I-89 south to exit 12. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto VT Route 2A. Drive to
the traffic light at VT Route 2 (Williston Road). Turn left to go west on VT Route 2 to the
traffic light and turn left on Commerce Street. BEVS is on your right.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs
are free of internal and external parasites and any communicable diseases, and have
appropriate vaccinations. The State of Vermont requires a rabies vaccination every
three years.

A written CERTIFICATION must accompany the entry for any dog which has not previously passed an
American Kennel Club Tracking Test.
ENTRY FEE is per dog and includes recording fee and event service fee. “A recording fee of $.50 (50 cents) and an Event Service
Fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. This
Recording Fee is to be collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than
one class in the show, the Event Service Fee is to be collected on each entry of each dog. (American Kennel Club Rules Applying
to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2).”
ALL CHECKS AND MONEY ORDERS are to be made payable to Burlington Obedience Training
Club, Inc. Payment must be in U.S. Funds. MAIL ENTRIES WITH FEES to Ilene Morgan, 6
Allen Road, Grand Isle, VT 05458. Express mail entries must include signature permitting
them to be left at the secretary’s address without recipient’s signature.
ENTRIES not submitted on Official AKC Entry Forms, sent unsigned, or specifying conditions as
to their acceptance will be rejected. Photocopies without the agreement on the back will be
rejected. Fees must accompany entries. No Fax service available. ERRORS ON ENTRY
FORMS are the owner’s responsibility. Refund of entry fee will not be made if such error is
disclosed after the test closing time.
CANADIAN EXHIBITORS: It is suggested that you enter early and call or e-mail the test
secretary to confirm the receipt of your entry.
CLOSING DATE for entries is 5:00 pm, Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the Trial Secretary’s home,
after which time entries cannot be cancelled, accepted, or altered.
The DRAWING for entries in this Tracking Test will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 6:00 pm,
at the Test Secretary’s home. The drawing shall be random except that preference shall be given
to those dogs that have not earned a TD or TDX. There will be an alternate list, with positions
assigned to the order in which they were drawn. The Test Secretary will notify all entrants of the
results of the draw by email (or by ground mail only if requested). Entrants may call the Test
Secretary until 9:00 pm concerning the results of the drawing.
WITHDRAWALS AND ENTRY FEE REFUNDS: If an entry withdraws between the closing date
and the test date and is replaced by an alternate, the entry fee will be refunded. Withdrawals
must be made in writing to the Test Secretary. Entrants and alternates who do not run in a test
but are replaced by an alternate who runs in the test shall have their full entry fee and certification
returned. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a
judge, or barred from competition. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the
control of the management it is impossible to complete the test, no refunds will be made.
BITCHES IN SEASON will be allowed to participate after all other dogs and bitches have been
tested. They will be allowed on the tracking field only immediately prior to the running of their
track.

ALL DOGS must be held on leash or confined to their crate except when being judged.
Exhibitors are asked to keep the grounds clean.
REFRESHMENTS – Continental breakfast will be available the day of the test. Lunch will
be served after both the tests have been completed.
TROPHIES
A passing score is required for prizes awarded in either Test.
“Dog” means either sex. No prizes will be mailed.
TRACKING TEST TROPHIES: The Burlington Obedience Training Club offers a dark
green rosette, title patch, and signed Tracking glove to each dog and handler team that
passes the test.
A Gift Bag is offered by Lorna Fortune, in memory of “Aspen,” to each passing dog from the

Alternate Route from the North: Follow US Route 2 East through the Champlain Islands
to the center of South Hero village. Just after the Merchant’s Bank (and before Seb’s
Snack Bar) turn right onto South Street. The Congregational Church is .1 mile on the right.
From the Grand Isle Ferry Dock: Turn right onto Vermont Route 314 and follow it to the
intersection with the blinking light at US Route 2 in Keeler Bay. Turn right onto US Route 2
East and follow it to the center of South Hero village. Just after the Merchant’s Bank (and
before Seb’s Snack Bar) turn right onto South Street. The Congregational Church is .1 mile
on the right.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the
particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not
exceeding 13in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough,
smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat),
English Toy Spaniels(King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).
2. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering
your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in
which you are entering our dog, i.e., A or B division.
3. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event
closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new
owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new
owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. State on
entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter
11, Section 3. of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows.)
4. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine PartnersSM Program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC
Obedience trials at the club’s option. These dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must include
their AKC Number on the entry form and check the AKC No. box. Sire and Dam information shall remain
blank for mixed breed entrants.

AGREEMENT
I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient.
In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged
and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors,
governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider
of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any
AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which maybe alleged to have been
caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or
near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further
agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned
parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any
of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from,
sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in
consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and
whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the
aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE
OFACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN ITS
PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT
OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE
AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS,
RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER
AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES.
