Thanks to all who donated rosemary as each student received a sprigg with the words “Lest we forget. Molly Jack and Siobhan represented Bourchier Street Primary School at the 11am memorial service on ANZAC day here in Shepparton. Our school thanks them for taking the time to show respect to those who fought for our country. Fun Run Congratulations to all of our Bourchier Street students on their efforts in our annual Fun Run last Friday. This event has raised nearly $9000 which will go towards our school grounds. It is only through fundraising that Bourchier Street has amazing grounds for our students. Thank you all for this support. Please do not send your child to school in ballet/skate/flimsy shoes. Your children's feet are still growing and the bones in their feet, still developing so you need well supported shoes that are properly fitted to students feet. Get the punctuality habit. Children need to be at school by ¼ to 9 when the first bell goes and they go inside to get organised. Being punctual shows respect and consideration for others. Punctuality also shows you have self-discipline and organisational ability. The best of intentions But how annoying is it when you don't intend to be late but somehow you just never seem to be on time? Of course everyone can be late for an appointment if circumstances really do go against them - there's a huge traffic jam, the phone rings etc. This kind of thing may not be unavoidable but I'm talking about general bad time keeping. If you are on time 8 times out of 10 then you are a punctual person, but if you are late more often than this then your punctuality could do with a helping hand. Reasons for poor punctuality Maybe you never seem to leave yourself enough time and always seem to underestimate just how long you'll take to arrive. Perhaps you end up trying to beat the clock on the way to your appointment and arrive stressed and apologetic. Being more punctual is all about good planning and organisation and knowing when to act. The benefits of improved punctuality School Uniform Our school uniform policy states that shoes are to be sensible and functional. Daily, children are involved in physical activities that require the correct footwear to be worn with example below: When you are more punctual then everyone benefits including you. People like knowing and working with reliable people because they know they can depend on them. Quote: Don’t let the best you have done so far be the standard for the rest of your life Remember to smile and enjoy your week!
