DATE: ……………………………………………………… NOTES FOR STALLHOLDERS We want you to get the best from your attendance at the Bracebridge Heath Festival 2015, so please read these notes carefully. Any questions, please contact Ann Walker on 07890 373502 or by email at [email protected] Completing the booking form Please be sure to give full details on the booking form. If you have a commercial stall, we ask for a detailed description of the goods you sell so that we can be careful not to place you next to someone selling similar items and also to get an interesting spread of goods across the Festival area. Please be as specific as you can – just putting ‘Crafts’ or ‘Handmade items’ is too general to be informative. Don’t forget to enclose your cheque with the form, or we won’t be able to reserve your space. We regret that no food or drink stalls (other than already-approved vendors) or large trade stands are allowed. Stallholders may not use any form of PA system or play music on their stall. Fundraising – please be aware that we are trying to avoid the use of tombola-type fundraisers as much as possible. In 2014, we had a lot of adverse comments from the public regarding the number of tombolas on site and how uninteresting they were. People will be attracted to your stall and will spend more if you provide a game or interesting activity for them to engage with, as we found last year with a wider variety of fundraisers. Also, the Festival as a whole will be more appealing with a wider variety of activities. If you are stuck for ideas of what to offer, please let us know and we’ll try to help. ON THE DAY The Festival will open to the public at 12 noon and close at 6pm. You may arrive no earlier than 9.30am to set up. Please check in with the Stall Manager on arrival to get your site number. You will be directed to your stall site which will have your site number marked on it. The position of your stall has been carefully planned and we regret no changes are possible. Please abide by this and don’t move your stall anywhere else. If you do, you may be asked to leave. If you have any problems, please ask for help or advice. You are responsible for erecting and dismantling your own stall structure and for any losses, injury or damage resulting from its use. We regret that we cannot not supply electricity, covers, tables or chairs. Please have regard for adjacent stalls and don’t put up anything that would obstruct them. Setting up is to be completed by 11.30 and your vehicle must be removed to the car park by this time. Please use your hazard warning lights and observe a speed limit of 5mph when driving on the site. No vehicles will be allowed back on the field before 6pm. In the event of changes to this time, due to adverse weather for example, a message will be relayed on the PA system. Rubbish may be left on your stall site, but it must be suitably bagged up ready for collection please. We will supply you with a bin bag. You are responsible for leaving your stall site in a clean condition. If you can’t attend on the day, we regret no refund of any fees is possible.
