March 29 - Briarwood Presbyterian Church

Announcements
We’re delighted you are worshipping with us today. The entire Briarwood family is eager
to greet you, answer any questions you may have and minister to you in any way. After
the service, please stop by the foyer so that we may offer you a small gift to acknowledge
your presence with us. I pray that this morning’s worship will be all about Him and not
about us, and that it will draw you close to the Lord of the universe.
For Christ, His Cross and His Crown,

Gracious Heavenly Father, we acknowledge this day that You are the Giver of every good and
perfect gift, and the Sustainer of our lives. We humbly come before You, recognizing the presence
of sin in our hearts, and knowing that You have graciously given Your Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ, to pay the price and bear the penalty for our sin. We confess our sin before You now,
and gratefully accept Your full and complete pardon. Free us to worship You now in Spirit and
Truth, with joy and celebration, and tune our hearts and fit our lives to live to the praise of Your
glory and the advancement of Your Kingdom.

Opportunities for Ministry and Growth
Holy Week offers every Christian the opportunity to meditate on the suffering and
death of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It culminates in the celebration of His Easter
resurrection and conquering death for all who believe.
Our 7:00 p.m. Maundy Thursday service will be a time of reflection and Communion
around the table as we remember the Last Supper. A special service at noon on Good
Friday will focus on the cross and the last words of Christ. Then, as the Scriptures tell
us that Christ came toward the dawn of that resurrection morning, join us at 6:30 a.m.
on Easter Sunday for our Sunrise Service in Parking Lot A, when we will be blessed in
the expression and hearing of worship. Remember to invite friends and family to our
8:00 and 10:55 Easter morning services of celebration which will include guest artist
Larnelle Harris, then return that evening at 6:00 p.m. for Saviour: A Modern Oratorio with
the choir, orchestra, Mr. Harris and other soloists.
The Holy Week daily devotional guide will aid you in your personal and family worship
as you contemplate the events of this solemn week. The Guide is available online at
briarwood.org/devotional, the Worship Center Lobby Information Desk or on the kiosks.
