THEME: ANNUAL CANOE TRIP
What better way to start the summer season than with a canoe or kayak trip. We will be
take a 9 mile trip down the Little Miami on Saturday. Please note that kayaking is reserved
for scouts that are at least First Class rank.

TRAVELING TIMES
We will depart and return to the CCS campus (on the North side of the building in front of
the storage sheds next to the playground). Eat Dinner before you arrive. Driving time is
approximately 1 hour.

EQUIPMENT
Regular Campout Gear: Please print a copy from BSATroop912.com\documents if you need a
list or ask Mr. Wilson if you are unable to access the site or obtain a printed copy. Bring water
socks or sandals for the trip. They must be something that will not easily slip off your feet.
WEATHER
It’s not quite summer yet but pray for warm weather but anticipate that it may be cold and of
course there is always a possibility of rain but you’ll be wet anyway so who cares!. Check the
weather for the area before you pack and bring appropriate clothing for the predicted

Any electrical devices (phones, iPod, MP3 player, electronic games, etc.), any sheath knives
(i.e., all approved knives must have a folding blade).
