Buckalew Boys Sing to HONOR THE TROOPS Our 4th grade Choir boys joined with area 4th - 8th grade boys to form The Woodlands Boys to Men Choir. They earned the honorable opportunity to sing the national anthem at a recent Astros baseball game. We had a great time rehearsing and traveling down to Minute Maid Park together as a mass of males! We took the field to sing the National Anthem the night the Astros were honoring our troops. It's exciting to report the boys were broadcast to all American bases across the world as a way of honoring their fine service to our country. I'm pleased to report that our boys behavior both on and off the field was stellar, as was their singing! And to top it all off the Astros beat the Blue Jays! Like I have said before, I have the best job in the world and I'm so happy to be their director! Well done, Gentlemen! Buckalew Choir Girls Give to the Montgomery County Food Bank Last Friday night I took over 20 4th grade Choir Girls to join another 180 girls from area elementary schools for a massive PJ Party at Mitchell Intermediate. We sang, ate pizza and watched a movie and learned all about the choral program at Mitchell. We had such a great time! Each girl was challenged to bring something to donate to the Montgomery Co. Food Bank. I am pleased to report that our 200 Woodlands girls contributed $500 cash and 301 pounds of food! The local manager said this equates to 2,111 meals for people in our community! It is such an honor to have worked with these girls and the entire Choir all year long. To have them continue to give above and beyond is an additional blessing. This is another shining example of how awesome Buckalew Choir members are! Be watching for information about when and how you can become a member of the outstanding Buckalew Choir!
