The Lions Club came to pick up and we had a total of 65 glasses and 2 hearing aids! After School Club "Tis The Holiday Season”- being with family, caring about others and sharing with those in need. If you would like to help out someone in our Lake Country community this holiday season with their wish lists, please take a wish tag from the Giving Tree starting Monday, November 24th. Gifts should be new and wrapped with the gift receipt and wish tag taped on the outside of the gift. All gifts are due to Mrs. Thurin by Wednesday, December 10th. Monetary donations are also accepted and can be given to the office or Mrs. Thurin with the label "Caring and Sharing." PTO The next Culver's Spirit Night is Thursday, December 4th at 5:00 8:00 p.m. Support your school! District News Support Lake Country School Environmental Education for years to come. Make a tax-deductible donation of $100 and your family’s name will be forever rooted as a seed of this initiative. Supporter plaques will be mounted on the garden fence & outdoor classroom in spring. Plaques will be created in partnership with Arrowhead woodworking classes & Lake Country art students. District News We have purchased a set of 29 snowshoes for our PE department and other classes that want to utilize our trail system. You can also check the snowshoes out for your weekend use. District News The outdoor classroom has a wood stove for winter activities. You may contact us (the office) if you have a desire to utilize our grounds or building for an event this winter. Red Ribbon Week is October 27-31. See calendar for special daily events. We raised $1470 for the G9 project: Gold in September! September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with the ribbon color being gold. Thank you for all of your support in making September gold, raising awareness for Childhood Cancer, and helping to unite organizations in supporting child battling cancer. We will be having our all school assembly on Tuesday, Oct.14th to celebrate. The Environmental/Packer Game Fundraiser is being held on Sunday, October 19th beginning at 11:30 a.m. There is an online auction to support environmental education. Auction 9/15/14 Special Event 9/15/14 District News The auction will run October 3rd starting at 6 p.m. and run until 12 midnight on October 18th. Students started asking about the Book Fair the first week of school and we are pleased to let you know that preview day is Tuesday, October 21st with sales from October 22nd-October 30th. Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 23rd. There will be an online sign-up for Parent/Teacher Conferences this year. Watch for more information to come.
