Individual & Team Triathlon The Bucyrus Area YMCA Saturday, May 23,2015 Our annual Memorial Day weekend triathlon starts with a 500-yard swim in an indoor 6 lane pool with 2 competitors per lane. Seeding is based upon the estimated swim time from the entry forms. Next, the 12-mile bike route is on a fast, mostly flat loop on country roads and state routes. Helmets are required, and the route is not closed to traffic. Volunteers will aid bikers at each turn. The final leg will be a 5K run (flat, straight, blacktop, out and back) route on country roads with a water stop at the midpoint. Refreshments will be provided, and an award ceremony will be held when the race is concluded. Competitors may enter as individuals, or as 2 or 3-person teams. Awards will be given as follows: the top Male & Female overall winners; the top 3 finishers in each Men’s and Women’s age group categories: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, and 60 & over; the top teams in the categories Men, Women, and Coed; and the top Male and Female finishers from Crawford County. Participants must be present at the post-race ceremony to receive their awards; no awards will be mailed. Date & Time: The race will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Registration will be from 7:30 – 8:30. Cost: $35 for individuals; $60 for teams. T-shirts are guaranteed for those entrants registered by Thursday, May 14.
