Kids Care Coming to Burr School
The Kids Care childcare program is coming to Burr School in the fall of 2015. For
over 10 years, Kids Care has been an important part of the Riverfield, Mill Hill
and Dwight school communities. We offer our families flexibility with a
professional and caring staff. There are no minimum attendance requirements
and your child’s schedule can be changed from week to week to suit your needs.
If your child does not attend a session, you are not billed. For more information,
please contact Kids Care.

just a party ... no auction, no raffles! $65 per person includes light dinner fare,

to have a whole mess of fun so mark your calendars and plan to join us for a

Read To Grow
Did you miss the Book Swap? Are you spring cleaning and wanting to donate
your gently used children's books to make way for new ones? Have your child
bring in the books and drop them off in the box at the front desk marked “Kiwanis
Read To Grow”. Spread the love of reading to children in need of books. Any
questions? Contact Parthena Wollen.
5th Grade Activities
We are asking each 5th grade family to contribute $30 per student to help cover
some of the costs associated with the fantastic activities described in the letter
emailed to all 5th grade families this week. Your Burr PTA is also contributing
$25 per student to help with this cost (so for a total cost per student of $55, your
PTA contributes $25, and we ask parents to contribute $30). Please make your
$30 check payable to Burr PTA and send it to the Fifth Grade Activities box in the
front office by April 3rd Please note that the cost of a class field trip organized by
the teachers will be separate from this fee. Scholarships are available to offset
cost with year-end activities. Please contact Mr. Bluestein for more information.
** Parents – the 5th Grade Field Day at the Italian Center date has been
changed from Thursday, June 4th to Monday, June 1st. Please adjust your
calendars! **
