X Blocks - Measured 16-1/2” square
1. Sew a 3 3/8” Cream Spray triangle & a 3 3/8” Red Sm Floral triangle to each 4” end of a 4 3/8” x 4”
1/2 Yard - Cream Stripe (Y1005-2)
Red Sm Floral rectangle. Then sew a 3 5/8” cream spray triangle to the 2 remaining sides of the Red Sm
5/8 Yard - Red Stripe (Y1005-4)(binding)) Floral rectangle. (Diagram 1)
5/8 Yard - Cream Tonal (Y1006-2)
2. Sew a 1 1/2” x 5 3/4” Cream Spray rectangle to the left side of the Red Sm Floral rectangle unit.
1/4 Yard - Khaki Tonal (Y1006-11)
3. Sew a 1 1/2” Khaki Tonal square to one end of a 1 1/2” x 5 3/4” cream spray rectangle.
7/8 Yard - Red Sm Floral (Y1007-4)
4. Sew to the top of the Red Sm Floral rectangle unit. Make 4 of these units. (Diagram 2)
3/8 Yard - Lt Khaki Sm Floral (Y1007-11)
5. Sew a 4 1/4” x 4” Lt Khaki Floral rectangle to a 3” x 4” Cream Stripe rectangle. Make 4 units. Sew a
1/2 Yard - Pink Sm Floral (Y1007-41)
Cream Stripe unit to each side of a 4” Blue Spray square.
1 3/8 Yards - Cream Spray (Y1008-2)
6. Sew a Red Sm Floral unit to each side of a Cream Stripe unit. Make 2 of these units.
1/4 Yard - Blue Spray (Y1008-30)
7. Lay out the block in rows and sew the rows together. (Diagram 3)
3/8 Yard - Pink Spray (Y1008-41)
1 3/8 Yards - Cream Lg Floral (Y1009-2)
8. Make 5 blocks with the Red Sm Floral & Lt Khaki Sm Floral.
4 1/2 Yards backing of your choice
9. Make 4 blocks with the Pink Sm Floral & Pink Spray.
Putting it Together
CUT THE FABRICS
1. Referring to the Layout Diagram, lay out the blocks into rows.
WOF = Width of Fabric
2. Sew a 1 1/2” x 16 1/2” Cream Tonal rectangle between each block in each row and to the ends of
