Wendy Schoen has re-released her book
“Creating Heirlooms for Baby”. This has been on
hold since Katrina because files were lost in the
storm. She has added machine embroidery
designs that compliment the book. There are two
design packs. Great book for the heirloom
sewer.

Class space is limited to registered participants only.
You must register for all classes. This includes Know-How Classes as well as
Viking Club, Embroidery Club, Designer Club, Serger Club, etc.
Payment must be made 1 week in advance of the class. Preparations have
been made for you to be in the class.
Please be on time to class. You should arrive 15 minutes early to set up your
work station.
It is illegal to copy printed materials for use in class or to embroider a design not
owned by the person embroidering it. Each student is required to own/purchase a
copy of the required book, pattern or embroidery design.
A 20% discount on any pattern, book or embroidery design required by a class will
be given on the day of the class or whenever the kit is picked up if preparation for
the class is required.
Classes Slips for the right dress! Make the perfect slip for the right dress; an A-line slip
for the A-line dress, a yoke slip for the yoke dress, and a bishop slip for the bishop

Scallop Borders for Quilts. Learn to make scallop borders on your quilt using a
scallop tool. You will learn the secrets of applying bias binding on your scallops.

Beginning Sewing. If you are just learning to sew, this class is for you. Bring
your sewing machine and project you want to make. During the two 2hour class,
the teacher will help you layout pattern pieces, cut fabric, read pattern, and sew
project together. Supplies you will need in class: Sewing machine and manual;
thread, paper and fabric scissors pins, machine needles, wash away marker pen,
measuring tape, 6” ruler. Teacher: Karen Crider.

Miscellaneous Classes (continued) Want to learn to Make the Very Popular
Headbands—Join us to learn to make a boutique
style braided headband. We will use grosgrain
ribbon to create a great alternative to a hairbow. We
will complete the headband in class with a classic
braid and the instruction swill include directions to
make different patterns. A kit will be prepared for
you. Teacher: Kelly Willis. Kit Cost: $3.50.

Let’s take the Fear out of Bindings— This a will be a great class for learning
all about binding a quit. You will learn everything from cutting the strips to sewing
the binding on. You will learn how to do an invisible join of the str8ps plus how to
hand stitch the binding down. We will also discuss what judges look for in your
bindings. A sewing machine in good working order is needed. Kit fee: $15.00.

Machine Appliqué Basics— Learn the basics of machine appliqué in this
notebook class. We will discuss how to trace patterns, how to use fusible web,
stitches, threads and stabilizers. A sewing machine is good working order is

Bunny Knit Nightie— Sew an adorable knit nightie
for baby using Children’s Corner pattern “Baby Knit
Nightie Pattern”. Fun and easy construction. Three
sizes available. You will need to purchase the pattern
and the fabric prior to class. Date: Feb 24

Time: 10am-2pm Toddler Romper—Toddler Romper trimmed with
piping for boys or eyelet or ruffles for girls. The
romper is belted and buttons in the back. Learn to
make a collar an attach to garment and how to put in
sleeves. Supplies need for class. Homework:

Heirloom Sewing by Hand Beginning Smocking—In these two classes you learn the basic facts about
English Smocking and the 5 basic smocking stitches. Also you will learn
fundamentals such as centering and placement of designs, preparation of fabric for
pleating, accent stitches, blocking and tying off. Included are pleated samplers,
threads and needles for the class. Kit fee: $10. Bring scissors. Two 3-hr classes.

Claire’s Sewing Club Claire’s Club —ages 8 and up. Join Claire in learning to sew while making some

Viking Club Classes
These classes are for owners of Husqvarna-Viking machines and sergers only.
NOTE: Due to the high demand for these classes and our limited space, we will
only be able to accommodate our current club participants and those who
purchase machines from Sew ‘n Sew in the future.
Viking Club - Class is open to any Husqvarna-Viking machine. Come and join us
as we learn a new technique and/or make a quick project. Bring your projects for
Show & Share. $7.50 plus kit cost.

embroidery machine? This is the class for you. We will go over each
machine represented in the class and show you how to get designs to your
machine. This will not be a structured class. This class will consist of
questions you have in getting designs to your machine, so come prepared to
ask questions. This class is only offered to machines purchased at Sew ‘n
Sew.

Simply More Techniques 4D Embroidery Extra Workbook. Use this
workbook as a learning tool to explore the 4D Embroidery Extra, 4D Organizer
and 4D Configure programs. As you work through the exercises in this
workbook, you will gain better understanding for the tools and capabilities of
these programs. Once exercises are complete you can stitch them out at
home using provided fabrics and stabilizers to see what you’ve created. Bring
laptop and dongle. Workbook cost is $49.95 less 20% class discount. The
workbook does include all fabrics and stabilizers required to complete the
