WEEKLY CHALLENGE
“The love of the Father”
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life.” (John 3:16)
As we continue getting to know Jesus Christ personally through the gospel of John, I
would like to remind everyone to keep Pastor Jim and his family in your prayers
as he allows Christ to become greater in his life through the leading of the Holy Spirit.
It’s the same opportunity we have as believers. Just as John the Baptist said in reference
to Christ, “He must become greater; I must become less” (John 3:30).
As we seek Christ in scripture, in worship, and in prayer, and allow ourselves to receive the
love of the Father, there is a transformation that occurs in our hearts.
The point when we personally recognize the Father’s love by accepting Jesus Christ through
faith as our personal savior. At that very moment there is a spiritual
renewal that takes place through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We transition from
believers to Christ followers acknowledging His free gift of grace. When that happens
it becomes our desire for Christ to become greater in our lives through the leading of the
Holy Spirit. Are you Spirit led? Is it your desire for Christ to become greater in your life?
As we read the words of Jesus in John Chapter 3 my prayer is that you would open
your hearts to the love the Father has for you and know that His will is for everyone to
receive
His love. To believe in your heart in the one He sent is to believe in the Father’s love for

PRAY FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
• Pray that the church will remain strong and grow despite the fact that many Christians are feeling the country.
•Pray for Muslim background believers, who are often isolated, beaten or killed by family members.
•Pray that the underground church will be encouraged and will feed on God’s Word.
•Pray for “Bagus” and other Christian converts from Islam who have sacrificed all to follow Christ.

Bobby and Michele McCarthy will be hosting
a couples’ small group beginning Sun, Apr
26th at 5:30pm. Join them and other married
couples and their families for a potluck meal,
prayer, and a marriage study by Francis and
Lisa Chan entitled "You and Me Forever”.
This group includes children so bring the
entire family!
Chu and Karyn Soh will be hosting a mixed
small group beginning Fri, Apr 17th. Join
their family for Faith, Fellowship, Food &
Fun on Fridays at 6pm. Any & All welcome.
No specific topic at this time. We'll see
