Job Title: Investor Relations Specialist Position Summary: Reporting to the VP, Investor Relations & Communications, the Investor Relations Specialist is responsible for analytical and research activities related to the investment community, preparation of investor marketing materials, and providing market intelligence to Senior Management and the Board of Directors as well as participating in special projects and corporate initiatives. In addition, this role provides back up to the VP, IR & Communications and the IR and External Communications Specialist, including backup IR representation at conferences and investor meetings. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Investor Relations Strategy – Assist with the development of key messages for analysts and investors, ensuring consistency of message. Investor Communications – Draft investor communications material such as corporate presentations, news releases, fact sheets and announcements. Act as backup contact for analysts/investors. Investor Relations Material Coordination – Arrange for the internal review, approval and distribution of news releases. Arrange the quarterly conference call, webcast and any other quarterly deliverables. Customer Relationship Management Tools – Monitor and maintain the IR database and schedules, update client notes and prepare and analyze reports and make recommendations relative to investor targeting and marketing. Research/Analysis – First point of contact to compile the research for investor follow-up questions and review analyst reports for accuracy. Prepare analyst estimate tracking including summary of analyst opinion for the Board of Directors. External Monitoring – Monitor, identify and implement IR best practices and trends, industry disclosure best practices and recommend and counsel accordingly. Act as the Bloomberg expert at Capstone and run various reports and analysis for IR internal use including monitoring share ownership, analyzing stock trading and monitoring competitor information. Prepare TSR calculation and other ad hoc financial comparisons for Management and Board of Directors. Internal Reporting – Prepare the IR section of the consolidated monthly report for the Board of Directors. Analyst Trips/Investor Days – Manages preparation for events, working collaboratively with the IR Executive Assistant who has responsibility for logistics and the IR & External Communications Specialist. Investor Relations Attendance at Conferences – Prepare presentations for conferences, act as backup to VP, IR & Communications and occasionally attend investor meetings and conferences with Senior Management as required. Compile disclosure record of meetings. Vendor Management – Coordination and selection of vendor relationships for the IR/Communications team in conjunction with the IR & External Communications Specialist and IR Executive Assistant. Communication Backup – Works collaboratively with the IR & External Communications Specialist with secondary responsibility for the communications functions, such as website management, marketing materials, advertising, brand management, and media communications. Works jointly on communications projects as required.
