Along with all of the hard work done in class this year, our students have done well because they are so familiar with technology. Teachers in both 5th and 6th grade have been integrating technology and the internet into lessons utilizing iPods, iPads, laptop computers, and smartphones with their students. The BYOD program has worked amazingly well and Carrigan remains at the forefront of technology and education in West Haven. With warm weather coming soon, I predict our students will be able to leave their books in their lockers as some great field trips are in the forecast. Our 5th graders will be headed to the Ward-Heitmann house, the West Haven Military museum, and enjoying Carrigan Field Day - scheduled for mid-June. 6 The 6th grade Holiday Hill trip is planned for Tuesday, June 2nd and promotion ceremonies are being planned for our exiting 6th graders in June. 8 Spring Band Concert 6:30 As we spring into the fourth marking period, we hope the weather catches up with the season. This year was truly Frozen! Hopefully, we can all ‘Let it Go’ and warm up soon. 29 Wishing you a happy and healthy Spring, Rich Weber, Assistant Principal Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to the awesome Carrigan staff!
