Position Summary: To assist patients by providing dental care for children; Exams,
cleanings, scaling, periodontal treatments, extractions, fillings, anterior root canals and
other dentistry services. Demonstrate good judgment when a dental problem is beyond
the scope of services provided in the dental clinic.
Responsibilities:
 Fully understand children needs in regards of their dental care assessment.
 Maintains current partial or full set of X-rays on all dental records.
 Ensures quality control in recording patient treatments to dental charts.
 Quality Assessment of patient charts.
 Generates accurate information when filling out super bills.
 Provides dental education to all children/parents.
 Assists patients with referrals when needed.
 Works closely with Dental Office Supervisor in maximizing services and
maintaining good quality of care.
 Supports Clinica Oscar A Romero’s (CMOAR) strategic plan and goals and
direction of the performance improvement plan.
 Supports all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer
Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care
and CMOAR initiatives.
 Organizes in-services/educational/training activities.
 Participates in program development and in-service training of dental staff and
providers.
 Demonstrates attitude of cooperation and professionalism when working inside
and out of the department.
 Ability to be self-directed and initiated and function as a member of a team
promoting and atmosphere of cooperation.
Qualifications:
 Graduated from an accredited Dental School
 Current valid California D.D.S. License, D.E.A. License, CPR Certificate.
 Demonstrate sensitivity in relating with individuals from diverse cultures and
economic backgrounds.
 Ability to manage patient flow and work in a very busy environment.
 Strong organizational skills. Detail-oriented.
 General knowledge of OSHA regulations.
