Employment Opportunity with the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) CCAR is looking for a full time Volunteer Coordinator to implement the Volunteer Management System within the Hartford Recovery Community Center and to coordinate the regional Telephone Recovery Support program including all outbound calls, volunteer management and data tracking. The ideal person will be enthusiastic, extremely well organized and passionate about working with people in recovery. Here are some other basic qualifications. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or Associates Degree and two years experience desired. Experience working with volunteers and a volunteer management system. Knowledge and/or experience with recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction. Familiarity with CCAR and recovery support services preferred. Experience with the Telephone Recovery Support (TRS) program preferred. Cross-cultural skills, and experience with culturally diverse populations. Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills. Experience in training delivery and group facilitation. High level of proficiency at Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Access preferred. Able to work in a team setting. Strong customer service ethic. The Volunteer Coordinator position is a full time nonexempt (35 hour/week) position with one evening and some weekend shifts required.
