Measure PAM4 Eye, Jitter and Noise
For each of the three eye openings, the PAM4 Signal
Analysis software determines the eye opening, jitter and
noise as function of BER, and decomposes the jitter and
noise into deterministic and random components using
algorithms customized for PAM4 signaling.
All results are written to tables that are easy to read and to save.
Deeper Understanding with Additional Views
of Jitter and Noise
The PAM4 package includes the views of noise and jitter
utilized in the SDAIII-CompleteLinQ package. Displaying
histograms, spectra, bathtub and IsoBER curves for
each eye opening enhances understanding of jitter and
noise. PAM4 analysis is compatible with EyeDoctorII,
allowing users to de-embed channel and fixture effects,
emulate a channel, or apply equalization.
PAM4 Signal Analysis offers a rich set of analysis views to allow users
debug sources of noise, jitter and crosstalk.
The PAM4 Signal Analysis setup dialog borrows from the NRZ SDAIII-CompleteLinQ package.
