Course Objectives
Upon completion of this 8 hour course
the student will be able to:
Describe the CEN exam process as well as test-taking tips.
State primary interventions for management of problems related to
selected body systems.
Identify components of the nursing process as it relates to a variety
of medical conditions
Discuss issues related to professional, ethical and managerial topics
as they relate to emergency nursing
Course Description
The CEN Review Course will provide the ED nurse with an overview of the CEN exam process and tips for achieving success with
this certification examination. A review of the more challenging
core content that is part of the CEN test plan will be the primary focus for the course. Cathy McJannet and Pam Adler are the course
instructors, and both have extensive experience as ED nurses, ED
educators, and CEN Review Course presentations.
